2023 U.S.-Booked Air Volume: $133 million
Primary U.S. Airlines: American, United
Consolidated U.S. TMC: Amex GBT
Bank of America continued its rebound from the pandemic-era slump in corporate travel with U.S.-booked air travel in 2023 up to $133 million, according to a BTN estimate.
Continuing a trend from 2022, the company made investments in sustainable travel in 2023. The company set 2030 sustainable aviation fuel goals for the company’s corporate and commercial jet fuel usage. SAF procurement covered 100 percent of 2023 corporate aviation usage and 11 percent of commercial business travel, exceeding Bank of America’s goal of 20 percent annual SAF usage by 2030.
Bank of America last year fully implemented a green premium, which was rolled out in test phases previously. The bank assesses this premium on each segment booked to collect funds to deploy on investments that deliver on sustainability goals.
