Information technology company Hewlett Packard Enterprise had 2023 U.S.-booked air volume of $26.5 million.
The company incorporated a hotel rate sourcing tool into the travel program at the end of 2023 and enhanced its training program with a multimedia approach using short videos to assist with self-help tutorials. In addition, it created a centralized support desk to address travel program day-to-day questions, chauffer service was expanded in India, and the travel team completed a sustainability assessment to build on the existing travel policies and sustainability initiatives.
For 2024, the company will continue to evaluate New Distribution Capability options, evaluate technology tools and how they can contribute to travel program savings initiatives and enhance traveler satisfaction, collaborate with the HR and global mobility teams to streamline the increase in requests for visa documents, and continue to enhance the executive dashboards used to manage travel against budget and project costs.
In 2023, Scope 3 emissions accounted for about 97.6 percent of HPE total emissions, including business travel, which made up only 0.26 percent of HPE's entire carbon footprint. Business travel contributed 46,700 metric tons of CO2 equivalent.
The company's fiscal year ended Oct. 31, 2023. Hewlett Packard Enterprise reported FY23 net revenue of $29.1 billion, up from the $28.5 billion reported a year prior.
